About us

Hi, I’m Jodie and here at The Spice Republic, Andrew, my husband and I aim to provide a unique take on our products to add distinct flavour and personality to your home cooking. We’ve done the hard work so you can bring together exciting ingredients and meals to keep your cooking fun, healthy and interesting!

The Spice Republic was conceived by us because we initially wanted to address a lack of quality in the spices available in supermarket bought spices and spice mixes which are often poor quality, bland and uninteresting, full of fillers and preservatives made in laboratories. I knew it was possible to create something real, high quality, innovative, and as the saying goes, if you want something done right……”

When we started hand blending our initial spice and seed blends together using real, pure and fresh spices and seeds, our friends and family (who we used as our testers) couldn’t believe the difference and we discovered the blends and dukkahs could be used in many preparations, offering endless possibilities for sweet and savoury dishes, desserts, salad dressings and breakfasts.

Since those earliest days we’ve steadily worked and innovated and added new products along the way and I hope that our spice and seed blends and dukkahs will bring a new joy to your cooking. We have loved creating these products and hope that when you use our hand blended, pure spice products to make delicious meals, that you enjoyed making and eating them as much as we did creating them.
